LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Welcome to Frassati Catholic Academy Elementary & Middle School,
I am honored to welcome you to Frassati Catholic Academy. Our school community has a strong tradition of providing Catholic education to students in northwestern Lake County.
Our school’s rich history, support and dedication from our supporting parishes, Santa Maria del Popolo, St. Mary of the Annunciation and Transfiguration in Mundelein and Wauconda have set the foundation for vitality and sustainability for Catholic education in our region.
As demands and complexities of Catholic education increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our children reach their highest potential. We believe that our school, parishes and community must work together in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible just as Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati had.
As our school’s namesake, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was a young man who faithfully served the poor. Just as Blessed Frassati always encouraged his friends to “reach for the heights,” so too does our school encourage our students, teachers and families to adopt a Christian service-minded focus and to always strive for their personal best in all that they do.
You are invited to be an active participant at Frassati Catholic Academy. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the Frassati Family Association (FFA), special event participation, or member of one of our school committees, you are encouraged to be involved! Research on Catholic schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their children’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their children.
Frassati Catholic Academy has been a model for regional Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Chicago that others are emulating locally and nationally, mirroring Archbishop Cupich’s Renew My Church initiative. Our three supporting parishes bring together the collective strengths and resources of a larger Catholic community to provide the best possible experience for our students and families.
I invite you to visit our school and experience the joy of Frassati Catholic Academy. New families are always welcome. Community members are invited to partner with us to volunteer, attend our events and support our school’s fundraising efforts. Please contact me with any questions or arrange a tour. I hope to see you at Frassati soon!
“Verso l’alto – Reach for the Heights!”
Thank you & God Bless,
