E-LEARNING

E-Learning at Frassati Catholic Academy

Frassati Catholic Academy will be opening for in-person instruction for 5 full days a week for the 2020-21 School Year. In partnership with the Archdiocese of Chicago, Frassati Catholic Academy is also offering a Long-Term E-Learning option for our Kindergarten-8th Grade families who feel more comfortable starting the school year with remote learning.

While our Reopening Team works diligently to prepare to reopen our school safely for students and staff for the 2020-21 School Year, we are also putting plans in place should the need arise for a short term or long term return to E-Learning during the school year.

Please see below for more details on the E-Learning Options offered at Frassati Catholic Academy.

Long Term E-Learning Option

For Kindergarten-8th Grade families looking to choose Long-Term E-Learning, Frassati Catholic Academy teachers will be providing instruction to students in core subjects. Classes will include English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion. Students at home will be expected to follow a schedule that mirrors the school day and prepare for live lessons during their scheduled class times.

Families choosing this option should plan for pick up of class materials at the school every two weeks.

If families opt into long-term e-learning, students will need to be enrolled in the e-learning program for the duration of each grading period (September to December, December to March, March to June). Near the end of the grading period, families will have to re-opt in for the next grading period or opt to return to face-to-face learning.

E-Leaning Websites

Preschool-3rd Grade will use the Learning Management Platform Seesaw. 4th-8th Grade will use Google Classrooms. This is how teachers will communicate with families, and these platforms also allow for us to create a digital portfolio of student work to be assigned and submitted. These platforms will be used both during in-person and remote learning to ensure consistency in experience for our students and also provide a smooth transition should we need to move to remote learning at any point.

For Preschool-3rd Grade Students and their families, please go to the link below to sign in to SeeSaw. Students will be able to log in at home using their home leanring codes. Families will be able to log in using their account information once they get the teacher invites.

For 4th Grade-8th Grade Students, students will access Google Classrooms either through their Gmail accounts or through the link below using their Gmail account for access. Only classes that have been shared with their account will be visible to them.
