Old Business

1.     Meeting notes from last meeting pending. 

New Business

2.     Dr. Vida opened the meeting with a prayer.

3.     FPA Planning for future events:

a.    Jan. 10^th – Tech Night K-5

b.    Jan. 22^nd major fundraiser – Jan. 17^th 7:00 PM next meetings – Susan

c.     Jan. 24^th Culver’s 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Lake Zurich mixer – Rita Gonzalez + Mrs. Floyd

d.    Feb. 1^st 5:30 PM teacher’s dinner x 10 (sandwiches / beverages) – need volunteers

e.    February Luigi’s Pizza call-in & carry-out (period for one week) -  for February – Marjie to call can confirm + send flyer to Dr. Vida for Tuesday mailer

f.      After start Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 29^th) possible Wed. or Thursday roller skate mixer (Hot Wheels closed) try Round Lake / Fox Lake or Glacier open ice ~$100 in Vernon Hills – Rita’s neighbor as contact to coordinate

g.     February or March – Wendy’s mixer + registration desk – Rita G. & Margie B.

h.    April or May – 2^nd Family Bowling mixer #2 – volunteer needed (Mary F.?)

i.      May 18^th – 8^th grade dinner dance at Mill Creek Inn, separate committee to plan event.

4.     FPA & Student Council dances all grades – FPA volunteer/ coordinator updates:

a.    Feb. 3^rd  – 8^th  grade sponsored dance CSW (glasses, scarves, mittens, gloves, caps) + cash box, no students outside during event, non-Frassati guests registered -   Mary Friese

b.    May 11^th – 7^th  grade sponsored dance

5.     Website:

a.    Calendar - Robin Gonzalez & Mr. Bates updating schedule as ongoing project

b.    Sponsor tab on website – John Sierra & Mr. Bates (expand further at top for matching employee gift sponsorship: Baxter, Abbott, Grainger, United Way)

6.     Fundraising & Charity Items:

a.  Picture frames to thank corporate sponsors – Wendy’s, Culver’s, etc. – John S. needs photos of Dr. Vida + students / Mrs. Floyd + students try Mrs. Lazare (spelling?).

b.  Pop tabs + McDonald’s – suggest as class sponsored event by student council.

c.   Student Council + FPA charity donation $50 checks to each of 3 feeder parish St. Vincent DePaul societies.  Susan to distribute for St. Mary, Regina & Michael Guido for Santa Maria, -_____ for Transfiguration.

7.     Teacher B-Day coordination: Gary Gunther in Jan. + Fr. Ron in Feb. – Dawn Abernathy

8.     Thanks to FPA volunteers for helping with:

a.  December 11^th  Family Bowling / Bears night – Mary Friese

b.  Supporting your school flyer – Margie B.

9.     New business

a.    FPA purchase of cash box + tickets for events (vs. borrow)

b.    Parents bowling league once per month – Mary Friese to investigate

10.  Moving next meeting from Monday February 6^th to Monday February 13, 7:30 – 8:30 PM.  8^th grade parents committee to meet from 6:30 – 7:30 (before regular FPA meeting).  Moving due to conflict with SMDP Boy Scouts family night.
